It was a pleasant December evening when we were invited to capture the 1st birthday of a cute little angel. The party was in our hometown, so we arrived a bit early, with the main event scheduled for 7 pm. Our goal was to take some amazing photos of the birthday baby and her family.
Baby photoshoots are not as simple as other photoshoots. They require patience, concentration, and creativity to get those perfect shots. This shoot was particularly challenging because the birthday girl wasn’t ready to pose and started crying when we settled her on the bed. Her parents mentioned that she preferred being outside, watching birds, trees, and nature. So, we took her and her parents outside, and the natural light was just perfect. The birthday girl became happier and more active outdoors, allowing us to capture some beautiful moments with her parents and grandparents.
When she started playing, we noticed she liked to playfully beat people and then smile, which was loveable. This gave us the idea to go for a cake smash photoshoot. We quickly set up everything like arranged a beautiful little blue cake and let her to what she wants to do with the cake, and to no one’s surprise, she smashed the cake and even offered it to everyone around. She really enjoyed the cake smashing, and we got some fantastic clicks. The backlight during the golden hour was a blessing, making the photos even more magical.
This photoshoot was one of the most memorable experiences in our career. We enjoyed the shoot as well as the celebration, creating lasting memories for the family and ourselves
Cake smash photo shoots have become a beloved part of many a first birthday celebration. Recently, we had the joy of capturing such an event for a sweet little girl in our hometown. Here’s a glimpse into that special day and why it stands out as one of our favorite experiences.
A Day to Remember
It was a lovely December evening when we arrived early at the venue, filled with excitement for the main event set for 7 pm. Our goal was to capture the pure joy and innocence of the birthday girl and her family. However, baby photo shoots can be quite challenging needing patience, creative, and a dash of magic to get those ideal photographs.
Challenges and Discoveries
Initially, our tiny birthday girl would not cooperate with posed pictures. She seemed a bit fussy and uncomfortable on the bed we had prepared for the photoshoot. Her parents quickly mentioned that she loved being outdoors, watching birds and enjoying nature. So, we decided to move the shoot outside, where the natural light was just right.
Candid Moments and Joyful Smiles
The change of scenery worked wonders. The birthday girl became more lively and cheerful, allowing us to capture beautiful candid moments with her parents and grandparents. Watching her play, we observed her charmingly playful behaviour of “beating” others and flashing a broad, white grin. It was heartwarming and sparked an idea.
The Cake Smash Magic
Inspired by her playful spirit, we decided to introduce a cake smash. We quickly set up a cake and let her dive in. To the joy of all, she happily demolished the cake, enjoying it to the fullest and even handing out pieces to people around her. The golden hour created optimal backlight, and so the photographs are more magical.
Memories to Cherish
This cake smash photoshoot turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our career. We took photographs not only, but also the core of joy, love, and party. The joy of the family and the excitement of the little angel made every second priceless
